What is a Candy Bar?

A Candy Bar is a decorative setup of a delicious selection of candy & sweets displayed in a variety of beautiful glassware. Candy Bars are a brilliant addition to any function and will definitely be enjoyed by you & your guests. You can have your guests self-serve or we can provide a candy bar attendant to serve your guests.

What type of functions are candy bars suited to?

Candy Bars are suitable for any occasion including weddings, kitchen teas, birthdays, baby showers, christenings, corporate events, Bar mitzvah’s & Bat mitzvah’s, engagements and more.

How much candy do you provide and will there be enough for all my guests?

With all our Candy Bars, we provide approximately 150 grams of candy per person. We have found this to be a sufficient amount based on past event experience. Some guests might not have any candy or just a small amount, and others might have more than their share, so overall it averages out to be a sufficient amount. If you wish to have more candy per person, let us know and we will give you a price for more candy.

Do I get to choose the candy for my Candy Bar?

For our standard packages, you get to choose candy from our standard range of candies. There is a set list and you can only choose from this list of 30 candies. For the premium packages, the candy is pre-selected for you to fit in with your chosen theme and we suggest you don’t change it. For the custom packages, you can choose from our range, or you can request candies that are not on our range and we will try and source them for you.

What if I want a certain type of candy which isn’t on your list?

If you have any special candy that you want that is not on our list we can source it for you, but this may incur an additional cost.

Can I get a candy bar for special dietary requirements?

Yes, if you require a Candy Bar that is Halal, Kosher, Gluten Free, Lactose free etc. we are able to source this candy for you. We will need to design a custom candy bar for you to suit your requirements. Please contact us for a quote.

Can I provide my own candy but still use your glassware and decorations?

Yes, if you wish to provide your own candy we can provide you with everything else. We will need you to have the candy ready and available for us on the day to set up in the jars for you. Please contact us for pricing. (Candy jar labelling not included)

Do I have to set up the candy bar?

No, all you need to do is provide us with adequate space for your candy bar and leave the rest to us. We will deliver, set up the candy bar and pack it down. We also provide the table.

How much room do I need to provide for my candy bar?

Once you have booked in your candy bar we will let you know what size table we will be using so that you can work out where you can fit it.

How long does it take to set up and pack down the candy bar?

It will take us anywhere between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the chosen package. Pack down will take just under an hour.

What do I need to provide for the candy bar?

All you need to provide is a place for us to set up your candy bar. It is a good idea to have your candy bar somewhere with plenty of room for your guests to be able to have access to it without causing too much crowding. If you are having your candy bar outdoors, you will need to select an area where the ground is level.

Do I need to clean the jars before you pick them up?

No. We collect all the jars and we clean and sterilise them.

Do I get to keep the leftover candy?

Yes, any leftover candy is yours to keep.

When is the candy bar set up and picked up?

The candy bar Is delivered and set up on the day of the function and picked up the next day. Delivery & pick up is between 9:30am and 4:30pm. If you require delivery outside of these times, please let us know and we will try and organise it for you, however, an additional fee may apply.

Can you offer pickup on the night of the party?

Yes, we can pick up anytime from 9pm-1am on the night of your party. An additional fee of $80.00 applies to a night pick up. If it is not essential that the candy bar has to be picked up that night, your best option is to allow us to collect it the next day to avoid additional costs.

Can I add flowers to the Candy Bar that are provided by my florist to suit the theme of my function?

Yes, if you wish to have a fresh flower arrangement added to the Candy Bar to suit your function, we are more than happy to discuss this with you and possibly substitute the centrepiece of your chosen theme to allow for your own floral arrangement. Please contact us to discuss this.

What happens if a jar accidentally breaks from the Candy Bar?

If any breakages occur you will need to make payment to cover the damaged items. We charge approx. $80 for large jars, $60 for medium jars & $40 for small jars. When you book your candy bar hire with us we will provide you with a list of all the items and the replacement cost of those items. Any damaged, lost or missing items will need to be paid for by you. For functions at venues, you are responsible for any damaged or missing items lost by venue staff.

Can I have my candy bar set up outside?

Yes, we can set up your candy bar outdoors. All we require is a flat surface to set the table on to ensure the Candy Bar is secure. You need to be careful of insects, and you will need to glad wrap any of the jars that don’t have lids.
